About Us
We’re a team of five Transition Year students from Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh in Bishopstown, Cork, and we’re on a mission to make gardening simple, fun, and rewarding for everyone.
The idea for our project sprouted from a shared love for nature and a desire to help people grow their own food and flowers with ease. Gardening can be tricky, especially when it comes to knowing the right time to plant. That’s why we created our Gardening Calendar—a handy guide that takes the guesswork out of growing.
Our calendar is packed with tips, advice, and a month-by-month guide to planting, tailored specifically for Irish gardeners. Whether you’re just getting your hands dirty for the first time or you’re a seasoned green thumb, our goal is to make gardening more accessible and enjoyable for all.
We’re proud to combine our creativity and teamwork to bring this project to life. Not only does it promote sustainable living, but it also encourages people to reconnect with nature and the food they eat.
Inspiration
The Idea
One of our team members often helped his grandparents with their gardening in his apartment but noticed many plants would rot or die due to poor timing or forgetfulness. Inspired by this common issue, we created an informative Gardening Calendar to help gardeners know what to plant each month at a glance. Our calendar not only promotes consistent gardening throughout the year but also serves as a helpful reminder for beginners and seasoned gardeners alike to grow the right plants at the right time. Together, we hope to make gardening easier and more enjoyable for everyone!
